The Z-TRAK Full-Size Truck Spare Tire Chok provides an adjustable, space-efficient way to carry a large truck spare tire vertically in your truck bed or trailer.

Unlike a fixed-width tire holder, this two-piece Chok uses independently mounted sides that clip directly into Z-TRAK or standard E-Track. Each side can be positioned separately along the track in 2-inch increments, allowing the Chok to accommodate a range of full-size truck tire widths.

Once positioned, slotted mounting holes provide additional fine adjustment so you can bring both sides close to the tire. The Chok’s extra-deep design allows the tire to roll farther into the cradle, providing greater side support and a more stable base for large, heavy spare tires.

Z-TRAK Installation Requirement

This accessory can place significant torque on the Z-TRAK rail, especially while the vehicle is moving. For this reason, we strongly recommend using the Full-Size Truck Spare Tire Chok only with Z-TRAK rails installed using our Plus Nut Installation Kit or another properly installed nutsert-style mounting system.

We do not recommend using this accessory with Z-TRAK rails secured only with self-drilling screws.

Before use, verify that the rail is securely mounted and inspect all mounting points regularly. The strength of the complete setup depends on the track being properly anchored to the vehicle.

Important: BETA Release

This product is currently being offered as a BETA release for real-world testing and customer feedback.

This purchase includes the Full-Size Truck Spare Tire Chok only. Straps are not included, but may be available at a later date. 

The Chok is designed to position and support your spare tire. It is not designed to secure the tire by itself. The tire must be properly restrained with suitable, load-rated wheel straps or ratchet straps before transport.

For the most secure setup, we recommend using two straps:

1. One strap over the top of the tire to pull it firmly downward into the Chok.

2. One strap across the front of the tire to pull it back into the Chok and prevent forward movement.

Always inspect the Chok, track, fittings, straps, and mounting points before use. Before transporting the tire, confirm that it is pulled tightly into the Chok and cannot lift, roll, or shift in any direction.

A dedicated Z-TRAK spare tire strap system is currently in development and testing. It may become available as an optional add-on after testing is complete.
