Yes—straps are recommended for most setups.
Z-TRAK™ and Moto-Choks™ work together to create a secure system—but straps are what ultimately hold your bike in place for transport.
How it works:
- Moto-Chok™ locks the front tire so it can’t kick out
- This keeps your bike planted and prevents straps from loosening
- Straps do the primary work of securing the bike and keeping everything tight over bumps and turns
- Because of the chok, straps don’t need to be overtightened
Bike Chok exception:
For standard bicycles, the Bike Chok’s built-in binding strap can securely hold the bike on its own, but handlebar straps are still recommended—especially for longer trips.
For e-bikes, straps are always recommended due to the added weight.
What’s included with our bundles:
- ✅ Moto-Choks / Bike Choks
- ✅ O-Ring Tie-Down anchors
- ❌ Straps are not included
We don’t include straps because many customers already have them and don’t want to be forced to buy extras.
Need straps?
We offer high-quality soft loop tie-down straps that pair perfectly with the system—just add them if you need them.
Bottom line:
Moto-Chok prevents movement.
Straps secure the load.
